Very well executed
Supelice
Dreadfully Boring

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Totally worth a watch, if you enjoyed the original Magi:The kingdom of magic, you should totally give this one a watch too, explains the story of Sinbad well, an amazing anime and one of my top favorites of all time. Its nowhere short, perhaps around 3 - 5 hours watch with all 13 episodes. It starts out well with Sinbad being young and follows his life towards greatness, how he aquired his friends and developed the country of Sindria. It also gives you a closer view of his Djinn powers which are just amazing. He develops them quicker troughout the anime compared to Alibaba. Though Sinbad feels like a minor character in the series, they should most certainly expand on this further, i would totally love to see more of this amazing world and characters.

Anime can do something few other media can do (well). Take a ridiculous, totally insane premise, and adapt it into an over the top, fun as hell spectacle. This is not that! This Anime has the same problems as many anime that try to adapt "classic" stories that weren't meant for anime. Sure the animation and character design is fancy, but the story? OMG its so terrible. What is it with these anime and being so into "trading"? Like that one with the wolf goddess....I thought I would see some fun banter between an out of touch god and a human, but no its was all about market value of coins and such.Sinbad is similar, there is promise of epic battles with Djin Powers etc, that always only takes up a very small part of any episode. The rest is non existent or rushed character development, non relatable characters, and talk about creating a trading empire. sorry but if I wanted that I would go to business school.I could go on but the first season of this anime bored me so much, that I will just stop here as I stopped watching. good day

It's been quite awhile since I reviewed anything for ages but I must say that this anime series incorporates 1001 Arabian nights in a different manner, Sinbad in this version is very likable and becomes a sailor not just for the sake of it (I'm looking at you Luffy LOL), he becomes a sailor to change the world and unite nations (wherever corruption is) due to his sad origin. The action is great, but some character designs don't look great at all, some male characters look too feminine but it wasn't that much of a big let down. The real reason I watched this is because of my interest in Arabian mythology and also Sinbad the sailor, definitely check it out as it is only 13 episodes long.

I loved this series. It's a prequel to Magi. After I finished this and finished Magi & the Magi manga I started the AoS manga. OMG it's so good. I couldn't stop reading it. It even got me excited just to read it. It takes a lot to excite me, especially when it comes to reading anything. Shinobu is a writing genius. AoS and Magi are perfection when it comes to writing. This story is so unique and I love the Arabic theme and how it ties into ancient history. I love this story so much and the characters. Especially Ja'far and Sinbad. Ja'far does a complete 180 character change. It's so great to see. I definitely recommend watching this, especially if you're an anime fan. Even if your not, it's still great!
