The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

The other night I happened to be watching a brief biography of 'David Naughton,' the infamous "Dr. Pepper = Piperman" (I'm a Pepper, she's Pepper, So wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too), and became aware that besides that infamous jingle, and his brief-stint as the "American Werefolf" he also starred in this television series,"Makin'It" inspired or based on "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER." In it,'Naughton'played the 'Travolta'(Tony Manero) role of Disco King. Too bad the series only aired for a few episodes, not even a full season; and its THEME was an even bigger hit than the series. 'Naughton' went on to co-star with 'Pam Dawyer'(Mork & Mindy)in "My Sister Sam."
