Why so much hype?

Great visuals, story delivers no surprises

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

Was, in one word, bloody riveting! Well that's two words! I had to binge watch which I don't usually do with any program! I hope season 3 follows in the same vein!

Season two is about boys being abducted. So stereotypically, there are a dozen or so gay and lesbian roles written into the script. Short on dialog, short on creativity. Horrible soundtrack noises are used to create suspense over a slow, unexciting dialog. Series one was OK but SE2, it's just threadbare. If you took all the bits that pertained to the main story and investigation, i think it could be covered in one episode. It has one good attribute: it does create a suspense that makes you keep watching...but not in a good way, more in a 'what on earth was that storyline about?' Then you get further and realise, it was not worth the interest. The speed and amount of the dialog is about the slowest I've heard in a show. There should be fast, interactive conversations, but no, it's replaced with, as I have mentioned, horrible synth noises.

Season 1 was really good. Season 2 was a terrible jumble of goofy subplots and tangents. Save your time, watch something else.

Unique, well-written, dark series. The ending of series two was a delightfully disturbing twist. Can't wait for series three!
