I decided to give this failed abortion a chance and I was treated to a story about a 40 year old woman and her elderly mother buying a house together. What is their target audience? Sad old ladies? CBS does it again.

I don't watch much recent television, but the trailers for "Mom" caught my eye. I'm not an expert at judging these things, but for me, other than Seinfeld, "Mom" is the best written comedy ever. And, I'm not an expert at judging acting, but on this show, Anna Farris is every bit as good as Allison Janney (maybe Laurel and Hardy comes to mind). At first, I didn't want to iike Faris because I thought her looks might be overrated, and I've not watched her in anything else. But, she plays her part in "Mom" like a hand in a glove. The rest of the ensemble are all written and acted well. And, I appreciate whoever was responsible for adding Jaime Pressly to the mix. I didn't think at my age (68), television had much more to offer. But, watching "Mom" is addictive for me, albeit a pleasant addiction.

I am still drinking...too much. But with this show; the funniest, fast wits and comebacks are fantastic! Do they ad-lib some of it? I seems so, because the actors always have the right (or wrong) answers right there at the moment. This is the first that I know of, where Anne Farris, is so thoughtful and kind, makes sense and funny. But, as I started out, I am still drinking, and the show just helps me to cope with some of my own problems (not as many as they have), but for some reason it helps. I watch every show and rerun a few times, and always get something new out of each episode.

This is life as most of us know it. I look forward to it. Casted perfectly.
