Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

I love ❤️ this movie series & it was the best ever charlie Rowe played awesome Peter Pan he was amazing brilliant actor and Rhys Ifans played awesome Captain Hook to and Anna Friel played awesome captain Bonny as well and It was good to see Bob Hoskins again as Smee and the special effects were amazing and now I know how peter and Hook became enemies and how Peter cut off Hooks hand and why they became enemies for good and how peter chose not to grow up and he chose to stay in Neverland and how peter learned to fly it was funny to when he realised was in the air but I love ❤️ every minute of it this movie and series nick willing did a fantastic job on this and how peter came to be aka Peter Pan and best part is using a magic orb to transform them to Neverland so I will give this movie and to series a 10 - 10 well done to actor s and cast and crew 😀 This was amazing great job and when peter meets the Indians s and lost boys become friends with them so a good movie

This is a prequel dealing with Peter Pan (Charlie Rowe) as an orphan on the streets of London. Peter and his band of thieves work as pickpockets. Their evil mentor Jimmy Hook (Rhys Ifans) gets them to steal a magical treasure which transports them to Neverland. Once there Hook join with a group of pirates led by Elizabeth Bonny (Anna Friel) in search of more magic dust. Peter lands with the Indians and the beautiful Aaya (Q'orianka Kilcher) where the people don't age.The story lack any pace. It drags along. With 240 minutes, this is way too long. It doesn't help that they explain away the magic. It reminds me of Star Wars explaining away The Force. Why can't they leave it alone? The acting is acceptable. All the big name give the expected performance. Charlie Rowe as Peter Pan is average. As for the production, it's got TV movie level. It's nothing to brag about. It's dark and dreary. Again all the magic is gone.

I have watched everything in history about Peter Pan. I loved many versions and even enjoyed the history of how the story was created. But, this is absolutely my favorite of them all! This actually has depth and emotion. This explains many of the unanswered questions we all have when we watch the "Disney" version. This takes the fairy tale gloss off the finished product, but yet still has that fantasy flair and imagination. It never surprises me that high quality production, story, and acting gets overlooked and this never took off into further production. With passing time, the actors and production staff are getting older and into other projects.... oh how I wish people would spread the news about this great series and get it brought back or even better yet.... to the big screen. WE NEED A MORE GRITTY AND A DEEP PETER PAN! I was left wanting more!

This is an excellent job explaining how Hook, Peter, the boys, the Indians, and the Pirates all ended up in Neverland and many other unanswered questions are revealed. You will be pleasantly surprised how Nick Willing brings this tale together with great CGI, actors and sets to bring you back to Neverland where no one grows old. Willing borrows from Dickens' Fagin character to mold James Hook into the leader of a lair of boys from old London including Peter who, of course, is the cleverest. Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell holds up well. The CGI is great, and even though Willing borrows from Star Wars, Dances with Wolves, Pirates of the Caribbean you really don't mind since he does it in such a charming way that you don't notice it because you can believe that this is actually how they all got to end up in Neverland. Highly recommend this movie.
