That was an excellent one.

The movie runs out of plot and jokes well before the end of a two-hour running time, long for a light comedy.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

I laugh out loud at this show every time I watch. It's hilarious, but it has one problem... Jess. She has her moments but most of the team she is just annoying.

Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel) finds her boyfriend cheating on her and she is forced to find another place to live. She moves in with Nick Miller (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), and Coach. In the second episode, Winston Bishop (Lamorne Morris) replaces Coach as their roommate. Cece Parikh (Hannah Simone) is Jessica's lifelong friend. This is a standard single gal sitcom from writer Elizabeth Meriwether after No Strings Attached. The main thing especially in the beginning is the doll-eyed adorably quirky stylings of Zooey Deschanel. Over the years, she has honed in on her good-natured cutesy personality. The cast around her quickly gels. The on-and-off Jess and Nick romance is great at first but sometimes a hinderance in the middle years. Schmidt is quirky hilarity and Cece is surprisingly humorous. The last piece of the puzzle is Winston. It's tough to replace a lead character that quickly especially one as good as Damon Wayans Jr. He left for another show which diminishes this show at its inception. Lamorne's amiability does build up good will over time. Eventually, he becomes not just a replacement but a real force behind the comedy. At its core, Deschanel is an adorable leading actress and the gang is a super fun bunch of friends. That's what this type of network sitcoms require.

If you like your sitcoms to be funny, original, thoughtful, clever with great writing and fantastic acting then watch anything but this cheesefest.
i have seen zooey in other projects and can safely say she is one of the worst actors thats ever graced the screen absolutly no chemistry, allways seems bored and has the acting range of a melted icepop
add 3 stereotype male charachters and voila you have this mess

I first watched this show while living in Scotland. At first, I thought it was a rather silly show. Fast forward OMG I am addicted. The awkward moments are weirdly entertaining. Thank you for bringing something refreshing to the table. Cheers!!
