At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

While not without its flaws, On My Block delivers commentary on serious issues with quick witted jokes and natural, authentic dialogue. On My Block gives kids of color representation in a unique and refreshing way.

From the way the kids speak to the background music, its all great. Im tired of watching shows that take place in the past or do not accurately represent todays youth. Next season I want to see more trap music including latino trap, I want to see how the kids react to marijuana, I want to see more social media and meme references. Keep it up please. Cant wait to see these young actors grow and improve.

Tried to power through the first few episodes, hoping it would get better, but it didn't. The diverse cast is great, but the writing and sometimes the acting falls flat. I found all the characters annoying for the most part, especially Monse and Ruby. This also just seemed like it was trying too hard to be Sandra Cisnero's The House on Mango street but just ended up a super dramaticized, annoying version of it.

I need season 2 even though the show just came out
