I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

No spoilers.
Season one was brilliant and fresh. Characters had really good story lines and it pulled you in.From there on it just got boring and slow. Fast.Plus, the prison guards are the most unrealistic portrayals of a job I've ever seen.

This season was a train wreck! New characters were hit or miss... Madison got on my last nerve, she is like nails on a chalk board. Hate the the "original" cast was all over the place. The "original" cast need more screen time with more story lines. For me this a big miss. As for the ending it but a bad taste in my mouth with the new immigration center. My rating went from an 8 to a 3.

They have completely jumped the shark with this season. It's like the writers decided to shit the season out in 1 day while hungover. So many interesting characters that have now dropped off the face of the planet and I'm surprised no one has noticed (Meadow? Maureen?). Not to mention characters that the writers seemed quite invested in the last couple of seasons barely make an appearance, like Lolly who I personally was hoping to see a lot more of this season. And what happened to Ruby Rose? We did see her in max trying to push drugs on Nickles and after all the hype surrounding her appearance I'm left wondering what is going on?Season 6 aired more on the side of a bad sitcom imitation instead of a serious drama (Nickles being the only decent humor throughout). I was expecting dark humor and instead got childish pranks and equally childish newcomers to the season.Humor has been present throughout all the seasons, but those seasons maintained their strong characters who are now going through turmoil and have been replaced with new characters that the audience has no connection with. And how could we, when it seems that newly introduced alpha-females end up dead or severely injured (think V in season 2). Will Carol and Barb be returning for season 7? Whether they survive or not won't make a difference to the decline of the plot. It seems to be the same power play story line with different characters. They are definitely running out of ideas and I will not be hanging off the edge of my seat waiting for season 7.

Reviews are always quite personal, so for me it's just "business as usual" for Netflix's 'Orange Is The New Black'. Binge-watched my way through Season 6, and sure I'll watch it again to let things sink in properly. And it really IS as good as all the others, so watch and enjoy! It's hard to highlight particular aspects of the show because it covers all bases, drama, humour, stories, social issues, great characters that I've gotten to know, new ones the writer Jenji Kohan has brought in, particularly in the last 2 seasons. The Sixth ties up some of the loose ends after the tumultuous events that ended Season 5. It was NEVER going to be full-on intensity this time, so adjust your expectations. The new high-security prison some of Lichfield's inmates arrive at is a place with its own stories and peculiarities. Don't worry, ignore the silly negative reviews on IMDb, I don't think those people bothered to watch it all. There's still loads going on to get yr hooks into for this season! The working title is 'Be Free', which gives you a clue of what's to come, particularly in relation to central character Piper Chapman. Never sure how things will ultimately play out, the unpredictability of the series is one of its charms, although by the end of this one it's clearly set up for Season 7. Of course there were characters missing from 6 (Boo, notably!), but that's because of the way the plot developed. I've got a feeling those missing from 6 will be back in 7.I may not be a typical fan because I've enjoyed 'Orange Is The New Black' all the way through, and some people clearly haven't. The riot/occupation season was the best even though it picked up less praise, just for sheer audacity and 'cojones', and with Season 6 the series just continues to impress. I still can't get enough of it ...
