Synopsis

Orson Welles' Great Mysteries was a British television series The series was an anthology of different tales. Each episode was introduced by Orson Welles, who was the only regular actor in the series. In the opening titles, Welles would be shown in silhouette as he walked through a hallway towards the camera, smoking a cigar and outfitted in a broad-brimmed hat and a huge cloak, the outfit itself being a nod to his having provided the voice of The Shadow in the radio program. When he actually appeared on-screen to introduce the episodes, his face would be all that would be shown, in extreme close-up and very low lighting.

Laikals The greatest movie ever made..!
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
MULHALL-1 As a child in the early 1970s I used to love to watch this series late on a Saturday night. Orson Wells eerie presentation added to the shows mystic, the haunting theme tune by John Barry left an indelible impression. loved the episode with Peter Cushing. Why has there never been any repeats since the 70s. Night Gallery and Thriller two other excellent series from that era are available on DVD hopefully this will be be too. Hopefully other excellent shows from the 1970s will also be available on DVD such as, Shadows (1975), Toms Midnight Garden (1974), Ace of Wands (1972). The 1970s were a golden era in children's TV. It would be a lovely trip down memory lane to see these shows again.
