What a waste of my time!!!

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I can barely remember how season 1 ended after it went from creepy to absolutely ridiculous. I was shocked to hear it got renewed. So far season 2 is so slow it's like taking a Dramamine/Benadryl cocktail. My husband will be watching on his own.

The writer/director of this series stated he genuinely wanted to scare people in a new way, keep them on the edge. Well, dealing with this subject matter, it's not really scary. For anyone knowing what's going on around them in this world I can say this; To portray this threat in this way - keep a person tied to a chair and then some chosen people "fix them", is a preposterous approach, and not scary. If you want scary about this subject matter, watch a documentary - it's a LOT more scary in reality - but my advice is stay clear of it all together...

A Horror/ Thriller should have a fast moving plot and story. Every episode should have something that makes you jump up from your seat. This show is too slow for my liking. There were many episodes where nothing happens for long periods of time and the characters keep having conversations. The Build up never ends and the jump scare after the build up is too abrupt and shown as a flashback. All in all a very good concept but not executed well

I'll keep this short. I can understand that characters need backstory and we need to find out who they are, where they come from and why things are the way they are. But, this show is really dragging on with nothing really happening with casting out demons and all that one would expect based on the title. Episode after episode is about the MC being in denial of his powers and dealing with a restraining order from his family. Okay, we got that...now start growing some balls and start showing some demons instead of a soap opera about some stranger coming into town who slept with your sister and got beat up by your cop husband. Why does it take three episodes to show demon stuff? In TV land, that's called BORING. It reminds me of an English Literature book versus a Stephen King or Dean Koontz novel. Which would rather read? I think I stick with the King and Koontz.
