Purely Joyful Movie!
Matrixiole
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Yazmin
Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.

I'm very happy for this come back of "pangako sa'yo" aka The Promise :) I used to watch this when I was 3 with my family but I really don't understand anything about it ..I remember my mom crying while watching it and I was just staring at her ,clueless about what's going on :D So now that its back ,I'm finally going to understand..Actually I was watching the first airing of the new "Pangako Sayo" here in the Philippines earlier.. And "GOSH !!" That's all I can react all the time while watching it .. So obviously there would be a big different from the original ,specially the new cast but Filipino actors and actresses are very fluent in acting..Surely no one would feel the difference.. I just hope that other countries could watch this and will love it as much as they love the original TV series..And I wish they would love the new cast too ,specially the Philippines teen queen and king Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.. Soi :)

Me and my wife have been away from home for 21 yrs and have not really watched any Pilipino movies since. Lately my sisters here have been lending us tele-series movies( we have seen 3 so far) and since then we were both hooked to it.I know for a fact that acting, writing, dancing, singing are just one of the strenghts of our ancestry. These are in our blood as Filipinos. The 3 tele-series we have seen are all superb, starting from the writers, actors, actresses, and all those talented people who made these kind of films possible. Of the 3 movies that I have seen, I like Pangako Sa Iyo the best. Actually I have seen the other 2 movies first before " pangako" and during that time I rated those two movies as the best Pilipino movies I have ever watched not until I have seen "Pangako"(we have just watched volume 30 for now as I was writing this) and YES this is the best ,superb ,dramatic movie have ever been produced .Yna and Angelo did a very superb job and so with the rest of the actors and actresses. Our congratulation to them for a job very well done. No wonder even non-Filipinos abroad love it very much. More power to you allLove Leon & Karen (11/08/2007) Toronro, CANADA

She acted very well along side Angelo. The play was so good in a way that it was ranked number one in Tanzania.Up to today, people talk about Yna and Angelo. They should visit Tanzania to confirm that...I was so happy to see finally Yna and Angelo re united after the long journey of family misunderstanding. There was a time I thought that Madam Claudia was the real mother of Yna and the only problem was that she did not recognize her.I never thought that even Phillipines people can despise poor people like in most areas in Africa. For example Claudia never liked Yna just because she was coming from poor background.Thank GOD that she got what she worked for after long sufferings...

Love for a person, love your job, love ur family, love ur enemy too!! This movie has opened my mind to every person i know. And to be successful in life is not easy. You must go through a lot of pain to gain success. Love don't come easy. There's a lot of sacrifices to be made. Strong will power, patience and perseverance is a must.
