Dreadfully Boring
Gutsycurene
Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

This is just a rehash of the same recipe that made programs like "Ghost Hunters" cringe-worthy.1. Ultra-long intro sequence with spooky music that says 'Location of the Week' is spooky and full of ghosts.2. Testimonies from the researchers about the spookiness and ghosts of the LotW.3. Wandering around LotW, jumping at "clear" sounds and sightings that either "oh, sorry, camera just missed" or "you can clearly see it/hear it in the footage/audio" while you really, really can't.4. Shots of walking and standing around LotW with nothing happening.5. The actors rambling on about how they 'feel' stuff, and that things have definitely happened and more are going to happen, we have seen a lot already and we'll see even more (no we didn't, no we won't).6. Very bad acting.Bottom line: Horror movies are cool. Paranormal Lockdown tries to convince you to have that same jump-scare fun without any of the jump-scare content. It's just a low-effort cash-grab and it should be discouraged.

Another example of the "dumbing" down of America. This silly program, like all the rest of this genre that clogs the television networks today, is patently ridiculous. It presents itself as a series of real events. Real knocks, bangs, sounds, voices, messages, goosebumps and cold spots all caused by "spiritual entities". It's all shown with "scientific"panache. They use tiny recorders and a plethora of other "machines" that are presented as capturing the existence of "real" spirits of dead people. What "real" B.S..Any contemporary person with a modicum of intelligence and education should look at such superstitious clap trap with a wary eye. I would really enjoy these programs as they are generally peopled with interesting actor types who are somehow connected to the "spirits" they are trying to communicate with. In the case of PL the 2 "professional" spook seekers come with extensive resumes of successful "ghost hunting" These shows are surprisingly well made with resonably interesting camera work and appropriately spooky music. However.....They pass this stuff off as totally "REAL" Hogwash!!!I say enjoy Pararnormal Lockdown for what it is........entertaining FANTASY! Have a good time. Rating: Fantasy show, 7/10, as real paranormal experiences 2/10.

I just finished watching the sixth episode of this show. And I think they've got something good going here. In the fifth episode Nick was really startled by his stay in Hindsdale House. You could just see it by watching his eyes. Those were not the eyes of a trained actor, but of someone who was freaked out. I do have some criticism. When they exclaim things like: Did you here that?" (sound of footsteps or banging on the walls) those sounds are not always being played back for the viewer. Which is too bad, all you here then is the series music. I hope that in season 2 they will seriously cut back on the music. It is kinda ruining the mood in stead of creating it. Also they claim to be sleeping in the locations they visit, but when Nick gets out of bed his hair isn't even messed up. Which makes you wonder if its all real or not. Other then that this show had me on the edge of my seat. If you are in to shows like Ghost Adventures, you should give this show a try.

Personally, this is THE best paranormal show I have seen. I have watched shows about ghosts and the paranormal, for as many years as they have been aired. I am a believer, as I have experienced many things throughout my life, and was part of a paranormal investigator group for several years as well. I feel that Nick is one of the most genuine investigators I have seen, and I am very happy he embarked on this project of his own. He is staying true what I believe he intended all along, and I hope to see much more of this from him and Katrina. I love the fact that they spend 3 days at a location, and that for part of the time, it is only the two of them there. It helps to decrease contamination of EVP's when there aren't so many people around that could make noise, and possibly make it so you aren't sure of what you're hearing. I truly hope this show will be successful, and that we will see MANY more seasons to come!
