Zoologist Nigel Marven explores the wildlife of the Canadian Arctic. On the shores of the Hudson Bay in Churchill, Manitoba, a mother polar bear and her two cubs head out onto the newly-formed ice for the first time. Nigel reflects on the highlights of his Arctic year, including harp seal babies on sea ice, walrus basking on ice floes and diving underwater, Arctic foxes feeding lemmings to their nine cubs and polar bears invading the rocky shores around Churchill.
