ManiakJiggy This is How Movies Should Be Made
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Joanna Mccarty Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
allisonbryan-30611 Primeval- about a giant monstrous crocodile terrorizing a village, believe it or not is a true story. There actually exists a beast of this sort and even has a name- Gustave, which makes the thoughts even more harrowing. Anyway, the film is alright- I barely have any recollections but it is a decently made B movie. The shots with the croc were quite good. I am going with a 4 stars but I feel just because of the rarity of the subject you should give this one a shot.
nekojinrogue Interesting story ideas and fun to seen the new monster of the week. Entertaining even on a low budget. There are times, though, that the laziness of the writers comes out in frustrating and painful ways. I find myself staring at a scene and wondering "Why?? Why would you do that? That's so stupid!"If you can get past those moments (and there are many) then it's a fun show to watch. I'd love to see it revisited with a bigger budget and a little more intelligence written in.Oh, yeah....and the Wilhelm scream.... Every episode? Really? *shakes head*
Roedy Green This is a very special effects driven series. You might call it Jurassic Park light. The special effects are excellent. They are not just pasted onto the background. They interact strongly with the live action. The spiders were not quite up to snuff, though. The effect that puzzled me most was Rex, a baby winged dinosaur that liked to nestle next to the breast of a pretty young woman. It had all the cuteness and intelligence of a Disney creation, yet it seemed completely real. I really wanted to have one as a pet myself. The science is pretty sloppy: 1. Micro-brained dinosaurs and insects seem to know how to operate a time wormhole.2. Insects, far larger than ever lived on earth swarm, even though the oxygen today is far too low to support them and they would collapse under their own gravity.3. Predator dinosaurs chasing prey, stop to give dominance displays of roaring. This is not how predators act.4. Predator dinosaurs seem to be blind. You can escape them just by lying on the ground. There was a scene with a young woman just in her underwear. In a series without any romantic content, it seemed overly exploitive and out of place. It is somewhat corny and clichéd, but is a guilty pleasure. It is entertaining.
danaigh I love a good idea with action, nice men and women who are faithful to their character. In the U.S. I've have mostly given up on TV and movies, the writers here seem to be on a mission to prove their bona fide regarding any and all of the 'conscious raising' topics from Abortion to Zebra rights.I'm in season 4 now, and so far there's no token minority, token gay, token black or even simulated sex scenes. The characters use typical English grammar with charming British slang like 'awright mate' or some such. There's some personal angle between the geek and the blonde which by U.S. standards would be too subtle. But this tension is left for the audience to wonder about, no scene of an epiphany of uncontrolled lust with groaning and grunting for five minutes. Thank you all.Anyway British ladies are so enjoyable to watch too.
