Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Leoni Haney Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
spokanegolfer OMG, must watch! Very glad that I happened on to this series!! Very good acting! Timing and expressions are wonderful! While I question the daughter, I really like her as well! This show reminds me of Republic of Doyle, which I wish was still around. Private Eyes is rather tame, yet still a pleasure!
rl-jones I have to agree with triggergotstuffed (16 July 2016), this is a light show. It also reminders me the show Diamonds (1987 - 1989), also Canadian, private eye show that took place around Toronto. Staring Nicholas Campbell years before he did Da Vinci's Inquest. Where 2 actors had a TV show about a married couple who played private eyes on TV, the show gets cancelled, they divorced, and became real life private eye's after that. the hook being that they would use their acting skills for any under cover or stings they needed to do (check the show out if you can find it). At the time it was also accused of trying to be Moonlighting. But in the mean time, I wait for Season 3.
fiona_r_lamb It's funny but I never ONCE compared this show to Moonlighting. And I watched every episode of Moonlighting back in the day. What I do love about this show is Toronto!!!! Toronto is the star! So many films/TV shows are filmed here but pretend to be American cities. Not this one. So thank you to everyone involved! Love Jason Priestly too. His acting chops are soooo good - great comedic timing when appropriate too. And I like the whole family dynamic he's got going on with his Dad, blind daughter and ex wife. Oh and the ex hockey player background. The female PI I don't love as much mainly because her lips have been doctored between series 1 and 2 and I cannot stop staring at them. And not in a good way! Very distracting. The new cast addition in series 2 of the PA is fab. She is so well written and acted. As is the police detective. Great chemistry ALL ROUND!
gaykathleen It is quite entertaining. However, it is mostly too obvious that you want to tap the characters on the shoulder and tell them it is right in front of them. There are few surprises and definitely no subtlety. I would like to work a little harder with the clues to solve the mystery but never get the chance with this series. The characters are quite endearing and I always enjoy the family involvement. The new office assistant has helped provide another dimension when she is given enough to work with. It actually is a bit insulting to the intelligence how everything is spelled out and no imagination is required by the audience, Barely a six but with so little competition at the moment I will continue to watch this series.
