Very disappointed :(

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Raymond Sierra
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

This was actually an extension of the James Earl Jones series "Gabriel's Fire". It features James Earl Jones and Richard Crenna as two rather different private detectives. While the premise isn't exactly original, they played up their respective ages and skills using their various talents. Don Ameche played Richard Crenna's father and most episodes had either a running gag or a nice sense of humour. While mixing crime and humour wasn't original, it was enjoyable and probably fell by the wayside due to its similarity to a lot of other shows that were around at the time. I believe only a few episodes were made. (I seem to remember seeing at least 10).
