Reviews

Seraherrera The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
lilmickey48 OK, I don't have much to say about this show. Only, if u haven't seen it please watch as many reruns as you can. I love this show. It embodies just about how all kids probably felt in their time when they had recess. T.J is the leader, and quite a looker. He brings the humor and schemes to the show. Spinelli is the tough chick, scared of no one and nothing. She brings the strength. Vince is the athlete, he always wins. He brings coolness and determination. Gretchen is the genius. The brain, she brings the strategic moves of all the plans. Mikey, he is the gentle giant. He brings the heart of the operations. And last Gus, the nerd, the wimp at times. He brings reality and that no matter how small you are you can be heard. But IMDb has said that it was finished in 2001, but on my television I got shows that have appeared in 2003. Theinfo shows the year the episodes appear and I have 2003 so how can it have been finished in 01. But anyway, this show is a classic and there can't be a replica. Recess is a show that shows that all things are possible and that you don't have to be an adult or have money and power to make a difference. And also that your true friends are with you no matter what.
buzzarb This cartoon is one of my top of all time favorite cartoon shows. Recess came out when I was in 4th grade, you could imagine my excitement to see a cartoon that dealt with the trials and tribulations of being a forth grader. The characters were so true and captured the essence of elementary school life in particular recess the best time of the day. In this cartoon situations were over dramatized to create a satire parallel to adult life. This was a very intelligent witty cartoon and it's a shame that it had to end so early. Now that I am 17 years old I still find myself catching reruns of this show on Disney when I come home from school. I now catch things that were a little old for me to understand back when i was younger. This cartoon among others like doug, pepper ann, made waking up for one Saturday morning a must.
nolanjwerner I mean this show seems like it is far more entertaining to adults then any kids who would watch it.This is seriously one of the most brilliant shows I have ever seen, it ranks up there with Mission Hill, Futurama, Sam and Max (another show that unfortunately died because it was not aimed at kids), Big Guy and Rusty, The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants and Invader Zim for the best animated shows ever. The show itself is so offbeat and bizarre that everything seems to come together and work perfectly. All of the kids are so strange (upside down girl, swinger girl, the diggers, hustler kid, the kindergarten tribe and all the others I am forgetting) but they all seem to work together perfectly in a bizarre yet appealing version of childhood. The plots of the episodes are just as strange also yet almost every one I have ever seen has worked perfectly. The references to things are aimed at adults, not kids. Discount the Disney name, this is so brilliant and offbeat that it is worth watching, think of it as the Cordwainer Smith of Saturday morning cartoons.
jumcjunk I absolutely LOVE the show!I am 15,and I like to watch it because it can take you out of the high school misery feelings and back into the joyful recess hours...It is also a fun show to watch, because the plots are exciting and adventerous.Unlike some of today's action-packed films with nothing but obscene content and language, recess has plots which teach us something in the end.I dont know why they cancelled it,but they obviously didnt do the right thing. As you can read above,MORE PEOPLE like the show than hate it.So I think they should bring it back.Definately a show to be watched!I am getting BOTH movies when they come out!:)
