Hi ! I'm Milla, I'm very satisfied to have seen this movie.Roots is a most spectacular movie that i never seen in my life, we can see that the realisator made a prodigious work so as to create this movie. The actors were really well chosen, I was shocked when I saw of also large and strong actors, for example Kunta Kinte and Fiddler ! This movie represents really very well the slavery, with places like Virginia, Africa, near the Bolongo river. Even if moments are very hard as boosts or other one, that makes react and think the spectator. However, sometimes it was too gloomy. Some scenes was so much brutal, violent and I felt not very well. More the background music marked me, these musics make the spectacteur travel and allows persons looking at the movie to become identified. The sound track gave me feelings ineteressante, of the anger, the enjoyment but more often the sadness and the fear...
In any case, globally, this movie has me much more, the story is moving and interesting thus, I advise you to look at him !!

Hi i'm lucas i am 16 years old, on the first year of high school . And today i'm going to do a review on Roots 2016. i'm not a fan of this type of movie but i was surprised ! The actors of this movie or this mini-serie are very amazing, we can feel the distress on her face. The music is fantastic aswell, for me the music represent a big part of the movie and we can hear the same music a lot of time. For bad point i note the little using of special effect on this movie , it's a film of 2016 , they would use more special effect so as to give this film more realist .For finish i find this movie like all films of slaves , for me there is no originality , if you ever see a « slave movie » you don't will see innovation .

Hello I'm Cedric and I'm 15 years old, I'm french of Angers, I gonna do the most expressive review of a realistic movie of slave trade : « Roots ».
So, to begin I gonna talk about disadvantage of the movie because I think it's too much violent, such as the scene on the boat where there are the heads of uncle Silla and other mens, for me it's violence for nothing because it's not important. I think there are many useless scenes such as the scene with Kunta kinte (main character) on the horse because, 5min after the escape he is catch again and i think there are no message behind this.
Now the avantages, I think the movie is very well by acting by the story line, the film is realistic and impressive, to finish, I think it's a memorable adaptation of this period of history.

I see some have slammed this remake of Roots, let's understand one thing I was a teen at the time of the original Roots if they had made this truthful version back in the day, people would have rioted in the streets. I respect the accuracy of this version, besides Haley was sued for plagiarism to the original story.
