Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
amber-19903 I love the show, even loved watching season three but was disappointed with the outcome - just way too contrived and too many plot holes. Still it was worth it for the acting. It was obvious though that the show story for season 3 was no longer taken from the books, the writers for season three didn't really match the original author's ability to draw out a story.
tammykerr This is a superb series. The writing is great and well thought-out, something that is missing in most shows today. The pace is excellent. This series could go on for dozens of seasons and would still hold my interest. Add this to your must-have watch list!
edavidathome This a very well made drama, beautiful scenery and good story lines. What raises it above the ordinary is Henshall, who is very good indeed. He carries the programme, although the guest stars are of a good quality. This show will be too slow for some people and I have too say that the regular cast apart from Julie Graham are a little below the required quality needed to make this a classic, having said that the whole programme is worth watching for the excellent Henshall.
futurechange This is a series being shown for the first time in Australia. Really love the series apart from the idea that women are killers. If you look at the gender of killers around the world less than 1% are women. This makes the some parts of the series far fetched and not based on real character development in my view. Has it been done as a lazy way to create suspense ? I hope this aspect is fixed in future episodes. I now will have to read some of the books the show is based on to see how close the scripts are to the series. The location and the actors are awesome and the scripts apart from the one item above are excellent. It is quality as anything out of the BBC is.
