It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

This show is for everyone and many need to see it. The actors were all solid and the two story lines were used great in what the show is trying to tell and show. I hope they do another limited edition of the series, with the same two charters Sanaa Lathan and Stephan James. I' am glad FOX presented it. Some people may not like the reality this show touches on but it is something warranted by it.

This show is great! Great actors, directors, story line, music, everything! It is refreshing to see Black people on TV in multiple roles. We are not one dimensional. The first few episodes have twists and turns that everyone may not understand or recognize. The script is flipped on race (in many areas) so that everyone can see these injustices from both sides of the aisle.Black people see the white version and whites see the Black version. It is definitely an activity of walking in your fellow American's shoes. Also, people that are newcomers to these talented actors and directors should definitely look them up and see their bodies of work. This is no ones first rodeo! These are veterans working on this 10 hour series. This group, along with cameos, have made some classic hit cinema over the decades.Lastly, I am not surprised by the haters in the reviews here. To me, these are people that are stuck in their ways and are not trying to see the world through different sets of eyes. Blacks and others have had to watch MOST TV through white people's eyes and they expect us to be happy for it. Now you have a show like this that is finally putting Black people in a humane and more realistic light and they can't handle it.This world is changing and white is not the only right, anymore!!!

This show is terrible. First...why attempt to provoke the anti Law enforcement community even more? This is an attempt at spurring the "race war" and undermining LE even further. Totally fictional and made up reality of what really happens. I can't believe Fox has stooped this low. So disappointed. Also, terrible acting and terribly written. Shame on you Fox.

From the moment the "shots" were fired you know this is poorly written and directed. Shots fired; viewer does not see the shooting, only hears the shooting. Shot by only black cop on what turns out to be an all white sheriff's department that rapidly is exposed to be corrupt rednecks. Black DOJ attorney dude and black female investigator arrive in town, each find themselves sleeping with someone the first day on site ...like the Grey's Anatomy of justice. Fake faker fake female black pastor with strange hair style similar to prophets of Baal espouses social justice theology bad enough to even embarrass Al Sharpton ... enough already! After all the ads about this being a provocative and powerful mini series its just another poorly done piece of agenda driven trash.
