SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

I'm not really sure what I was expecting from a tv show created by a very average comedian who was unable to ever get a sitcom even though all his friends gave him parts on their shows. Add in a few actors that could never succeed as anything other than bit players and the expectations fall shockingly low. But not low enough. I can buy the premise that anything can happen and none of it will affect the future but when everything that happens has been done already, what you have is a hot steaming pile of poop. Most of the other reviews compare this to another terrible show but they all miss the constant thefts from Grimm. They have even stolen from South Park. The basic plot of every episode is that the new sheriff and the old sheriff are always together(ugh), driving around in their 30 year old cars. The old sheriff has a 35 year old daughter that acts 12 and the new sheriff has a child that is never seen. If 2 chuckles per episode are what you call comedy, you will love this.

And the title makes it clear Dana Gould doesn't care either. Evil Dead is its own genre and except for a movie called House from 1985 I don't recall much else in that narrow niche. Multiple zombie series, multiple vampire series, so why not multiple cheesy supernatural splatter series? John McGinley is a great choice for the lead too. I have to agree with those who say the length isn't enough. They barely have time to tell the story before its done. Keep it coming!

As you've probably noticed, there's a lot of reviews comparing this particular show to that of "Ash vs. Evil Dead." A majority are saying that "Stan Against Evil" had ripped off "Ash vs. Evil Dead's" style. However, I do not think so. You could also say that "Ash vs. Evil Dead" ripped off "The Evil Dead" and made a show out of it. The story lines are completely different, the humor is different, and the plot are two totally different things. So, don't believe all of the crap from comments. This is definitely a show you'll have to sit down and judge for yourself. It's kind of funny on how the whole story is about 126 demons trying to kill the Sheriff of this little town. Everything in this show is so cheesy. However, that's how it was designed. It's not supposed to be taken seriously. Janet Varney Plays the new Sheriff, her and Stan are fighting the demons of this small town, Janet Varney being the target of them all. Stan's wife used to hunt these demons, but never told anyone. Hmmm. If you like dry, or slapstick, humor mixed in with a goofy horror adventure, then this will be a good show to watch. Remember, viewers shouldn't take this show too seriously, it's not about how well it comes together, or one plot or villain. "Stan Against Evil" is all about having a good time.

Campy fun with lots of quotable lines. The references and dialog strands are all sharp and fun. The references are reminiscent of "Psych". The writing and the acting are spot on! Comparable to a low-budget "Buffy". The monsters are fun and the effects are surprisingly good. A favorite character was the crazy man in episode two. Upsettingly, he doesn't seem destined for episode three. I've never seen a character quite like that. The creativity and camp are a delightful combination. It was a perfect mesh of actor, director and writer. Perfection. Great show to watch with friends and a few beers. Can't wait to see if it continues at this level of entertainment. If it does, it should last.
