shuckablep No one has been mentioning that practically nothing happens in this show and the plot always feels like it's going nowhere. And the rare times when it does, it is interrupted with the absolutely atrocious beach city episodes. I used to enjoy this show, but as I got older, the more grating it was to watch. One thing I will give it is that he music is passable (probably because they casted singers instead of voice actors and that's why the voice acting is horrendous...). Also, they are constantly pushing women as the heroes and men as incompetent fools. I couldn't care less about the LGBT community (all power to them, I'm just not involved) but when they shoved that sexuality down your throat, that is when it becomes a problem. However at the same time with this show, it is more of an underlying thing that FEELS like it's being shoved down your throat. Steven is the only competent male on the show and that's because he's basically being pushed as a transgender (or just an extremely feminine boy). Finally, a small detail that may mean a whole lot to some, did you know that Rebecca Sugar has a past of writing pedophillic fanfic of Invader Zim? Have fun knowing that I guess...

karltondolo I remember seeing parts of Steven Universe on Cartoon Network and thought it looked mediocre and lame. I used to mix this show up with Clarence. But whenever I went on youtube, I would always come across Steven Universe Analysis videos and see how much praise this one cartoon has. Now, in my era, the BIGGEST cartoons at the time were shows like Rugrats, Edd, Edd, Eddy, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry etc. So much more as well, but they are at the top of my head. When i I saw a youtuber put this show at the number best cartoon of all time, I was baffled. I could not believe it. I didn't see the appeal. Yes, it does look nice and colurful, but it thought to my self, 'it's just a cartoon'. WRONG! Never have I been so wrong. This is wayyyy more than a cartoon. This show actually has great, realistic characters who we can identify with, a suprisingly deep story and great visuals and animation. I cannot believe how good this show is. It is so good that I purchased a season. I have never brought a cartoon season before. I would either watch it on Netflix or Now TV. But I wanted to give money to the production company who made it as a way of saying thank you for making such a great show. I know that the show is still airing, but after watching the season 5 finale, I just wanted to write this. This show is actually better than most anime I have seen. Which is saying something. It is just amazinjg and I love it and will watch it again and again in the future. I cannot wait for future episodes. I 100% recommend watching this show, as you will not be dissapointed. P.S. I didn't want to talk too much in depth of the plot. I want you guys to go in not knowing what it is about. :)

DCfan I haven't seen or kept updates on Steven Universe for ages but it is defiantly a good show that has a lot of adventures and creativity. There is a member on this page not going to say who and a few youtubers like TTGminecraftboy37 who claim that this show has ripped off Teen Titans Go! Trust me it hasn't majority of the people who gave this show one out of ten are probably the same people who gave Teen Titans Go! I think those people either need to grow up or get into better cartoons. With an exception of the episode "Cat Figures" most episodes are good.
