This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

Once upon a time I really enjoyed the Amazing Race. It was fun, exciting, and sometimes heartbreaking. The contestants were people you could cheer for... or against. Of late, though, I have lost interest because of a decision by the executives to move away from what made the show appealing. At one time the racers were common people, just like you and I. A couple of coal miners from Kentucky. Two cowboys who were brothers. The list is too long to continue. This made the race fun. You could sit down and compare yourself to your peers. Now, however, the executives have decided to feature teams made up of ex professional athletes. models, stars from other reality TV shows and YouTube stars. In short, people who are not like the average American. I watched a couple of episodes this year and realized I just did not enjoy the show anymore. If the producers decided to go back to the original format, maybe they get my viewership back.. Until they do consider me an ex-fan.

What the heck was the purpose in last nights Fast Forward? It was a total freebie. There was no risk in choosing to attempt the Fast Forward, and there was no challenge in completing it. Considering the significant gap between teams, that did little to close it up, and created a greater leap for the two teams who were handed an incredibly easy (lame) free pass to the pit stop.Normally the Fast Forwards require long drives well out of the way and then you have to cut your hair or fight a fire. Add to that they gave it to a pair of teams, not just one, and I have to assume somebody really screwed up and did not think this Fast Forward through. OK, that is my opinion. What do the rest of you think?Tigger

This show's format is the reason why I keep watching each season. Imagine travelling around the world and your final target is US$1 million, it's for those who dare to do it.The recently concluded season is one great show. The ultimate winners were whom I wanted to win and it's a great ending to a show that has won the Emmys before.Overall, if you are the one who has always wanted to see how the world really is and interested to see how the various teams outdo each other to the finish line, this show is for you. Also, prepare for culture-shock abound because as they say - 'When in Rome, do as the Romans do'.Phil really does a good job of being the host and it's almost impossible to not linking the guy who hosts The Amazing Race. The show is just...amazing!

I love the AR5 as it is one of the best races that CBS did. There were colorful characters. And for once not one but two Christian couples. Kim & Chip never said a bad word about anybody and Nicole & Brandon prayed every time which I thought was great. I am just so glad that Colin & Christie didn't win because Colin was a bully and I was so shocked after the finale, he proposed to her. She shouldn't had accepted it because I don't want her to be a wife that is abused by her husband. I think the fan faves were a toss between Mirna and her cousin(Forget her name) And the Bowling Moms Linda & Karen. Because those two were the comic relief in the show.
