Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Many shows on Cartoon Network have tried and failed to be funny, like the forgettable My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Johnny Test, Teen Titans Go or maybe even Chowder in some episodes (doesn't mean I don't like Chowder though). However, with the recent uprising of Regular Show, Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball, I thought it's best to review the third show that, according to some people, saved the network. The setting for starters is actually pretty cliché. It takes mostly things from The Simpsons and doesn't really change it around. Anyway, other IMDb users have pointed out this flaw already so I can't say much. However, the humour in Gumball in general is actually funny. In my opinion, it is a wide array of humour, like abuse humour in Season 1, Slapstick from Season 2-present, social commentary in Seasons 3-present and random-but-actually- makes-sense-in-the-whole-storyline jokes from Season 2-present. The writing is actually quite good, with episodes about Gumball going through a rerun of the episode and the Universe collapsing on itself just because Richard got a job. This means that Gumball writers are good especially when they find out different ways to break the fourth wall. They can also do heartwarming episodes such as The Choices and The Origins Part 1 and 2, but even though it's heartwarming and supposed to be serious, the writers manage to add jokes that are actually funny. The characters. This family started out cliché, but due to all the events that have happened to them over the course of 5 seasons, obviously they will have some character development. Anais is now more involved with the family, as opposed to Season 1 where she got little screen time, Richard has been shown to generally care for his kids and Gumball and Darwin resolve their conflicts even more in more ways and sends a good message to me in my opinion. So I have talked about good things. Why do I not rate this a 10/10? The reason is because some of the Gumball episodes such as The Girlfriend, The Apprentice and The Boombox are all the worst examples of a character not deserving what they got in my opinion (Darwin should have been given an apology by Jamie in The Girlfriend, Gumball should have had a good relationship with Patrick Fitzgerald in The Apprentice and Juke should have been able to speak English in The Boombox). However, 1. Some people might like those episodes 2. You can't make every episode of a show good and like it. So with that in mind, I give Gumball a 9.8/10

Few if any animated shows have made me notice the job done by the voice actors than The Amazing World of Gumball. Even the young actors possess such a maturity so as to demonstrate that they "get it" in terms of what it is they are trying to accomplish and it's a huge contribution to the humor of the show. The intonations, fluctuations, pauses - everything comes together in such flawless fashion. It's hard to pick one standout but if I had to I'd have to go with the voice behind Nicole. The range of her vocal talents seem to be tested in every episode and she never lets us down. That's not to undercut the writing of the show. This is truly a funny show and not just at a level for little kids. I don't know how many little ones will get the two references to Dragonball Z I've seen in two different episodes but I thought those were particularly cool. The artwork in the episode "The Comic" was great and those of us who grew up reading comic books appreciated the pokes at the superhero genre. The bottom line - I never tire of this show. If it's airing I have it on regardless of how many times I've seen the episode. I almost always find something new I may have missed previously or I still laugh at something that made me laugh the first time(s) I saw it. Brilliant effort!

I've watched some episodes of The Amazing World of Gumball and it's absolutely brilliant. This is one of the best cartoons I've ever watched. It's also very funny and bizarre. My favourite character is Richard Walterson because he is the funniest character I've ever met. He's an absolute gas.I'm nearly 27 years old and I'm still watching this cartoon.
