It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

This was definitely less than the sum of its parts. It really had nothing much to recommend it beyond the unusual pairing of Hal Linden and Suzanne Pleshette--and they didn't make too many sparks together, though both are much loved individually. The sons were dull, the grandkids were dull, and the show as a whole added up to not much. It's no wonder this didn't last long.
