Synopsis

The Building is an American CBS television comedy that lasted only five episodes in 1993. Bonnie Hunt played Bonnie Kennedy, a commercial actress who was jilted by her fiance shortly before the show started and moved back to Chicago to pick up the pieces of her life in an apartment across from Wrigley Field. The series focused on Kennedy's struggles and the characters who lived in her apartment building. Making heavy use of Second City alum, the show was also filmed live; mistakes, accidents, and forgotten lines were often left in the aired episode.

Solidrariol Am I Missing Something?
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
siren9ll no, REALLY -- you should have seen it!Bonnie Hunt's earliest (and most short-lived) attempt to share her innate sitcom charm was, artistically, her best effort. It captured a "Waltons" sensibility with a "Honeymooners" visual tone in a "Mary Tyler Moore" premise that might have Nielsened HUGE if CBS' marketing dept had realized that, by 1990, a majority of the Red States had reliable cable access."The Building" was the first venture project launched by David Letterman's World-Wide Pants Production company. Mr Letterman's confidence in the lead, Bonnie Hunt, was obviously inspired by the actress's unassuming wit and ease with improvisation during her guest appearances on his show.Ms Hunt's latest offering ("Life with Bonnie") hearkened a return to the breezy, second-guessing, self-effacing charisma which seems to result simply from her own genuine self.btw, i'd love to procure DVD's or tapes of "The Building." (But PLEASE do NOT sneak into Mr Letterman's home on my behalf while he's vacationing!)
