lil_rosi Simply put, the movie was a disappointment. The book is a good, old-fashioned classic. The series is far too modern and uses the book as an entertainment object and a diversion from grief. The episodes were rather emotional and sad. The grandmother was a wild woman and there were multiple innuendos that were not appropriate for the TV-Y7 rating. I will not be showing this to my pre-teen boys. While the story line was ok, I do not feel that it did justice to the classic nature of the book.
edanner It did take it a moment to get rolling, but it is a good family show with decent family fare. Its no stranger things, but then again, its no stranger things. Fun side imagination jaunts as a family learns the new normal as they deal with life's and deaths changes.
mcoles-927-996211 Good family show without being too campy (nothing like the Disney channel shows). Covers some tough family topics (my wife tears-up a bit sometimes), but keeps things light hearted overall. My 8 year old loves it and my wife and I enjoy watching it with him.
