I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The beauty of "The Dukes of Hazzard" lies in its simplicity. Boss Hogg gins up some greedy scheme, Roscoe makes funny noises, and the Duke boys slide into the General Lee and jump a bridge to save the day. Throw in the jaw-dropping gams of Ms. Catherine Bach, and you've got yourself one prize-winning formula for success. But this show made household names out of everyone involved, and event he show's downright campiness has its own hokey charm. And there's no denying the General's status as a glowing American TV icon. That car taps right into my inner child after spending so many of my formative years watching this. It's informed my love for the car chase movie, and for that, I'll always be a fan. Even if I can't help but wince at every rough landing they put that car through. 7/10

This show was a fantastic form of escapism in the Monday night lineup here in Oztrayliah for a few years back in the 1980s. It has to say something about the show that both my husband and I were fans the first time around, and now our three children love it as much as we do, being the first to pull the DVDs out to watch different episodes. There is not another family oriented show like it on TV these days as most either run the family unit down or think they need profanity and lurid behaviour to capture an audience. The Dukes of Hazzard was fantastic for its time and deserves another run on our TV screens as it will capture more fans each time it is aired!

Hey, i must say i have never seen such a great t.v.series as the dukes. I must agree they are very sexy guys, those duke cousins. It's a shame that they aren't as young as they were then. I would go crazy over Bo duke (john Schneider). But then Luke duke (tom) isn't that bad looking either. :) I hope i find someone weather it's now or later thats like Bo. It would be so nice to meet them in person, and give them a big hug. I give dukes of hazzard 300% the best thats ever been. I also just realized that it's sad when i read about Jessie and boss hog's death. But then i guess no one lives forever and i'm sorry to hear about the bad news to everyone. The fans and the crew that worked with them. But anyways i'm just happy i got to say what i really wanted to say about the dukes and hopefully, wishing that those man out there do check these out once in a while to read it. Take care. From Chantal Lauzon Winnipeg, MB Canada

i thought (not to offend anybody) but i need to say this.i personally thought that the movie sucked. the only character they even got close to was uncle Jesse and they also made the movie to sexual and it had a person casting that obviously didn't know what they were doing there is no one in Hollywood that could possibly play the parts of BO,Luke, daisy, boss hog,Rosco,Enos or Cletus.i mean, come on they couldn't even get flash,(the dog)right.your a very bad caster if you cant get the freakindog right.and what ever happened to the quality of good old country fun?the car chases, the somewhat TV violence,i mean nobody really got hurt maybe just a good scuff or two i mean its not like the duke boys ever killed any body the most blood i have ever seen on that show was couple of bloody noses that the duke boys gave to each other on the episode "Carnival Of Thrills" were they get into a fight over some girl.
