I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Still find myself watching occasionally three plus years later. Many people probably say "what if", but as time goes on and as much as I hate to admit, a single season seems fitting. It started out strong but fizzled out by the end, taking on a bit of a bad movie sequel vibe, much like a Lethal Weapon 4. A must see regardless, don't take it too seriously, sit back, and have a good time. Some episodes are a little slow, but there are some gems, episodes 2-4 are excellent, number three is epic, I'll never look at Bradley Whitford the same after that one. I still chuckle at some of Whitford's character's vocabulary, foreign static = forensic, commando = commandeer

I started watching this as something to do while folding clothes. Now I am really bummed there are not more episodes. This show was really fun to watch. Bradley Whitford is awesome. Funny. Perfect combination of the goofy smart Detective and the Detective straight out of the 70's in Whitford. Also, it does not hurt that Jenny Wade is on the show as well. Great show. Wonder if there is a chance that this one could come back. I would watch no doubt. The show could draw some comparison to the Ferrell and Wahlburg movie "The Other Guys" but the similarities are small. I would suggest giving it at least three episodes and you should be hooked by the end of the third.

Jack Bailey (Colin Hanks) is a by-the-book neat police detective who is stuck at the bottom of the squad. He gets put together with Dan Stark (Bradley Whitford), a drunken, lecherous mess who nobody wants to partner up with. Dan is a 70s throwback and the stache to prove it. Yes, they are the Odd Couple of police.Bradley Whitford really goes all out with this character. He is absolutely wonderful. And Colin Hanks fits this stiff character perfectly. Diana Maria Riva is good as their frustrated Lieutenant boss. Jenny Wade is lovely as the flustered ADA, and possible love interest. This is a good fun show that only lasted one season.

I'll keep this short. I really liked Bradley Whitford in the West Wing and Studio 60, so I went into this show with reasonable expectations of liking it.But then I started watching the pilot episode and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Whitford's character made me cringe every time he started talking. (His character reminded me of a live action Foghorn Leghorn.) I was wincing at almost every scene. After 20 minutes I had to turn it off. I found none of it funny, and most of it just plain embarrassing. This show appears to be a lot like _Psych_, which I don't care for either. So I guess if you like Psych, you can probably stomach this show too.
