When Jennifer and Mike started to be terrorized by a shadow figure, they looked into the history of their home and discovered that it was a cure cottage to tuberculosis patients in the 1900s. After Hurricane Katrina, Karla returned to New Orleans and bought an old mansion for her and her extended family to call home. As the family worked to repair the historic property, they were frightened by what appeared to be unexplained paranormal activity. Through the help of local paranormal investigators, Karla discovered that the mansion had once been the home of a religious organization that was rumored to sacrifice animals. With the help of demonologist, Carl Johnson, and psychic-medium, Chris Fleming, Karla wages spiritual warfare to rid the house of the entities in the home. Synopsis

The Haunted is an American paranormal television series that premiered on November 22, 2009 on Animal Planet. Produced by Picture Shack Entertainment, the program features ghost stories and paranormal investigations involving animals. It also incorporates actual footage and photographs from the famiilies and paranormal research teams involved.

streetrodfan I'm not sure why it's rated so low. It's a entertaining show, similar to A Haunting, I recommend it to fans of A Haunting.The story, the acting, none of it's bad. I personally think it's great that we have shows like these on TV.I think the show has a low rating simply because people do not believe in the super natural and don't think it's scientific enough to be featured on the Animal Planet channel.I find it very interesting that animals may be sensitive to the paranormal, but there are people who obviously don't believe in such things and think the shows entirely stupid.As some one who both likes animals, and the paranormal, I'd say that I'm in the target audience here and I enjoy this show fairly much. Yet, people will judge, even if they don't believe in such things.At the least, hopefully people who have a interest in such things can be open minded and enjoy this program.
