This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

I see that a vast majority of the reviews are highly negative. At the same time I believe many of the same reviewers are outside the demographics of this show. I know I am.The show can't be that bad. After all, people are watching it otherwise it would not have lasted for so long. The show is marketed towards young teenage girls and if you're outside that demo, the chances are, you are going to find The Hills unrealistic. No doubt this show is highly unrealistic and if you think about it, it panders to a young teenage girl's fantasy, shopping, fashion, good looking guys, gossiping, Hollywood, successful careers, drama over spilled milk, jet setting, night clubbing, Potterybarn furnished apartments, etc., and all this is happening to a group of girls fresh out of school? But I guess if you're young and hot that kind of stuff happens. There's no doubt at all, The Hills is in a land far far away from reality, so blatant, that the show comes close to crossing the threshold into science fiction. For example, it seems like anybody over the age of 25 does not exist in this universe except for the one evil boss lady at Teen Vogue.Yet I still give the show credit for its high production value. The Hills is very well done and does a brilliant job delivering the subject matter to its target audience.

yes- it is true- MTV is a business, they make money by providing entertainment, there duty is not to educate the youth or to be moral- they are what they are and they will exist as long as there are people watching these series- they are basically satisfying a need - or perhaps they are creating one... What worries me more is that the series are appealing to so many people, which don t see it critically but are in the contrary almost obsessed with it. I mean- the characters are boring, spoil-ed and vain people, with no motivation (WHATSOEVER!!) to achieve something in life on their own, who are just pretending to live "live the Good life" with some drama here and there to keep the suspense up- I mean- this series are just preventing you from thinking. LIVE THE REAL LIFE INSTEAD OF WATCHING THIS FAKE S**T! I mean even if u feel the need to shut your brain off for a day and not think about anything- there are much better series out there to entertain you- I mean this series are not even funny- there are just EMPTY- no conversation, no action, just a bunch of people with no problems so bored that they have to make problems to feel somehow important... I wouldn't t give it even 1 out of 10 but that s the lowest...!

I got into the Hills a few months ago, via the internet and seeing all of the episodes, and I am completely addicted to it. It's just funny seeing all the changes, the breakups, and the drama and wanting to scream at them because of their ridiculous decisions or be jealous of what a fantastic life they live. I do believe that some of it is fake but is generally based on their lives. I wouldn't be surprised that some things occurring on the show (promotions, tickets to big events) wouldn't happen if the cameras weren't rolling.Overall, the only way you could get into this show was if you watched it from the beginning. Then you see the real addiction you get from watching the drama, catfights, and lessons learned on The Hills.

Attention all Hills fans:Do you have a question for Lauren that you've been dying to ask? How about one for Lo, Audrina, or the newly hitched Heidi and Spencer? (Wouldn't you have loved to have been a guest at their nuptials in Mexico?) If so, drop us an e-mail with your questions by the end of the day this Wednesday (12.3.08). You don't have to be nice. But you do need to be respectful. (And you know what we mean.) Send it to
[email protected] (Subject line: "The Hills"). If your question is chosen, we'll ask Lauren and Co. in an upcoming interview then run your query and their response in an issue of TV Guide.
