Synopsis

Each week, Jefferies tackles the week’s top stories from behind his desk and travels the globe to far-off locations to provide an eye opening look at hypocrisy around the world. Featuring interviews, international field pieces, and man on the ground investigations, Jim tackles the news of the day with no-bulls**t candor, piercing insight and a uniquely Aussie viewpoint.

Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Abegail Noëlle While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Eric Danger This quickly became one of my favorite shows if not my absolute favorite. Fans of John Oliver, Trevor Noah, Bill Maher and/or Seth Meyers will love it. Jim covers a wide range of topics and provides an informative, yet amusing, perspective on them. It's good to have another voice of reason on television, and somehow comedians have become the main voices of reason these days with mainstream media outlets becoming increasingly unreliable and untrustworthy. Much like his stand-up performances, his comedy on the show may offend some viewers who can't take a joke. In other words, if you're one of those overly sensitive, die-hard Trump supporters who starts sobbing and griping whenever you hear a critical joke about Trump, this show isn't for you. Jim is going to unapologetically call out Republicans, Democrats and anything else that is silly or illogical in the US.
David As an avid fan of Daily Show and Last Week Tonight I have long been waiting for a another show in the same league but with a different flavor of comedy, and an alternative perspective.Jim Jefferies delivers a witty but often deeply insightful look at news and world issues.
drjgardner Jim Jeffries is so funny you can barely sit still. Its irreverent, topical, savage, and spares no one. Jeffries is far ranging, with interviews of a Queensland Australia Senator, and the Ambassador to Azerbeigan. Of course he turns his attention to Trump now and then, but it's not endlessly dwelling on Trump's foibles.Along with the funny stuff, Jeffries presents lots of real statistics about important subjects (health care, climate change, racism). It's the funnies show on at the moment, and each episode gets funnier and funnier. His latest episode, about people who go on phony trophy hunts, is not merely hilarious, it is thoughtful and well reasoned.
LouieInLove I docked a point for the theme tune. The theme tune is simply forgettable generic shite. I mean, it's really bad, so much so it's worthy of mention. I'd happily hum them a tune down the phone that would be better than whatever they're currently using - for FREE!Besides the appalling theme tune, it's actually an entertaining show. You have to give it some leeway as it's new & will obviously take a season or 2 to work out the kinks, but fortunately they have a host funny enough to carry the load until that stage is reached.Jefferies is the gold nugget here & if they allow him the time & space to swim in this format he'll bring it home - so to speak. I basically mean that Jefferies is a comedic star & if they allow him the time to adapt to this format they'll have a winner on their hands. Out of all the pseudo current-affairs show hosts, Jefferies is by far the most naturally gifted comedian; just let the prick do his thing & DO NOT try & force him down some (PC) alleyway where his talent will be suffocated. Let the beast free & reap the rewards.*Maybe get rid of the desk & let Jim sit one on one with the camera/audience - give it a less formal feel. Jim is a naturally gifted stand-up, so let the show reflect that in its look/presentation. He doesn't have the academic background that the likes of Oliver & Stewart have which allows them to easily fit into that pseudo newsreader role. Jim needs to be allowed to play to his strengths & sat behind a desk in a suit isn't his bag.*UPDATE*It's 4 episodes in & now really starting to find its feet. Jefferies is starting to flow. I still think it could do with being less formal & I STILL F**KING HATE THE THEME TUNE! Nevertheless, overall the show is coming together nicely.I'd up my vote from 8 stars to 9 if they got rid of that F**king theme tune. Whomever came up with it needs a rusty spoon (that's been used by an AIDS ridden junkie to cook up with, then been doused in gonorrhoea discharge & shat on by a haemorrhoid suffer after a meal of beef vindaloo) shoved in their f**king eyeball.
