From my favorite movies..
DipitySkillful
an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
Neive Bellamy
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

This show had everything going for it. Wit, Charisma, Charm. But was ruined by Clara Mamet's annoying character and insufferable acting. Or lack of it. If they had cut her character after the first episode, this show would still be on the air. One of my favorite shows, ruined by Clara Mamet.

The Neighbors - what a weak title for an extraterrestrials TV show. The first time watching it I though: "It is terrible!". But it also has something to make it enjoyable. The premise of "kind of stupid" aliens passing has humans is what makes this show attractive. So one stays on watching it hopping it would bring something more. The characters are linear. The situations most of the times are transparent. The acting can be really bad, major character's voices anoyingly pinchy and squeeze, weak screenplay. Inspite of this major errors, maybe because it is not supposed to be taken seriously, the show brings 20 minutes of fun. They say in their corny opening credits "30 minutes" but their math is obviously wrong.Special regards to the actors who played Amber and Jackie Joyner- Kersee. They where excellent (read this with the voice of Mr. Burns from the Simpsons). The developing romance between the human and the alien came to be the best part. Not credible at all are the children's characters. They are all Kids acting like know-it-all adults. None is normal. That gets very tiring to watch and it is annoying. Bad casting? Probably. I came to realize it was painful to hear and watch "Dick Butkus", witch is another untactful name for a kid's character.I never though The Neighbors would have a second season but it did and is far better than the first one. To ABC to have cancelled this is... well, its ABC. Be very careful when stepping on ABC ground. One should never start watching an ABC TV series before the 4rd or 5th season.

This show was awesome. It was quirky and off center. The main story is a family from New Jersey which moves to the suburbs only to find out that the entire sub division they moved in to is filled with aliens who are studying Earth for invasion.Filled with a wide range of characters I found it extremely funny as the aliens learn more and more about humans, but how the humans learned more about their own lives through the aliens. The fact that this show was canceled, along with Firefly as another example, it shows execs in production companies are out of touch with the common person. This show shouldn't have been canceled and it is sad there are only three seasons.

I agree with a previous review I read. This show probably isn't as popular as it should be, which is a shame. The show is quirky, funny and is just getting it's momentum, if given the chance. If I was to give a quick analogy of this show, it's kind of like, "My Family" meets "Third Rock from the Sun".Although not quite at the level of the afore mentioned shows, I think it has plenty of potential to become one of the more interesting little cult comedy shows out there. Unfortunately, we now exposed to such a mass of unoriginal rubbish, which sadly seems to thrive. So let's hope this potential little gem is given the chance it deserves to prove itself. The show is still getting it's legs, so I hope it continues to gain confidence and originality. If it does that, it may make it beyond a second season and start to gain more of an audience.Worth a watch if you're looking for something new and off the cuff.
