Synopsis

The Podge and Rodge Show is an Irish chat show, broadcast and produced by RTÉ, featuring the popular Podge and Rodge as hosts. For the first three seasons they were joined by Lucy Kennedy as a co-host but for the first half of the fourth season they were joined by guest hosts including Michelle Heaton, after Kennedy took insult to being called "every name under the sun from bisto to an ugly Gráinne Seoige". Following a mid-season hiatus, Caroline Morahan took on the role of permanent co-host in February 2009. The programme airs every Monday and Tuesday at 22:50 on RTÉ Two from February to April and from October to December with a hiatus during the summer months.

LouHomey From my favorite movies..
Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
NeverAgain85 First off i think its the fact that Lucy Kennedy presents it is a major problem, she tries to be funny, alas she is not. She brings a formal approach to the show when the camera stems from Podge and Rodge onto her talking to the camera, I get the feeling she loves the sound of her own voice. This show was just a simple vehicle to further her career. Shes totally pointless. And why on earth did the creators give Podge and Rodge human bodies in the intro?! They look bloody stupidPodge and Rodge are still there however but the overall concept is stupid and the "Celebrities" they interview just go with it and crack a smile and a chuckle when Podge and Rodge rips the p**s out of them - "ho ho ho, you're such funny little puppets" Overall its very watered down. I miss the wee stories they used to tell on A Scare at bedtime and the jokes they made were awful funny. My question is Why did they cancel A Scare at Bedtime?? and then put this on, only for it to end as well?
michaelshiels72 This show is OK, but serves to be a little disappointing as a follow on from the content of "a scare a bedtime". "A scare at bedtime" i found to be one of the funniest programs ever, and had great Irish humour (coming from the people, not the people looking down on the people). "The podge and rodge show" carries some these elements through but not with the same stage to make it as potent as "a scare at bedtime". However, as a purely an interview based program it couldn't be better and if was pat kenny, id be watching my back. They ask the unaskable, and fearlessly place their guests in positions of bafflement as to why they agreed to go on the show. They should keep the level of guest lower however, as its better to watch them ridiculing nobodies, rather then asking serious questions.
