Les Revenants is a French show that I've been hearing a lot about but didn't think to check out until now. Calling it a zombie show wouldn't do it justice cause its a much deeper and thoughtful show than that.What we have come to expect of the zombie genre is an apocalypse people on the run trying to survive.'In Les Revenants however people who have lost their loved ones wake up one day to them(loved ones) coming back to life,one by one.That sounds like a trip to boredom but the writers and directors find a way to engage you through well realised characters and creating a beautiful and melodic atmosphere. The French auteur theory put a lot of emphasis on style over substance due to believing a movie is solely dependent on the directorIn Les Revenants Im glad to see the two blend well together to create something unique,engaging and interesting.

pointless series. i was waiting for something very strong in story (especially after seeing the last episode of 1st season), but i found very flat the story. it had potentials but there were too many faces to focus on that u "loose" their psychology. adele changes her mind from one minute to another for example, without being very justifiably and logical to us(i understood why she felt like this, but i mean it was too quickly the change and lasted for 6 months.. unreasonable) i would prefer to concentrate to one or two people. all roles have too many strong feelings that are compressed by the general story which eventually does not change anything,in the end. dead people just come, dead people just go.i felt like seeing 2 seasons without a reason.i write down what i liked and what not:+scenery +photography +atmosphere +main story +Frédéric Pierrot (Jerom) +Céline Sallette (Julie) and Swann Nambotin(Victor-Loui) in season 2-lack of psychological aspect of heroes -not so many important information in an episode -story was a little slow -i was waiting for something stronger in the last episodes.sorry for any mistakes in English.

This show has it all!!!!Drama - mystery - Sifi - and yes horror!!!!All in the correct dosage.I usually get bored easily then TV shows go around the main plot developing the characters, but man, the characters of this show are so interesting!!!!I cant believe i have never heard of this show. Even after i watched the first 3 episodes of the American version and got bored to death, i didn't know there was a Frenchversion. I only found out about it now that the new season begins.The plot evolves nicely, and when the episode ends you cant wait to start the next one. I recommend it to everyone.
