However strange things happen on the way. Its an extremely brilliant story, excellent characters. I dont understand wht they never made the second series, It doesnt make sense, even stephen king liked the series...MAKE THE SECOND SERIES!!!!!!

braved-ark I still can't get this TV-show out of my head. It was good. It was well-done. It was engaging. Such a shame that it has been closed! I hope it will be continued one day, somehow :) Loved the plot, the actors, the thrill of it. Again, hope this one will be revived! Fingers crossed.

Matt Nguyen When I saw the trailer/promo for this show, I knew I wanted to watch it. You don't see very many horror television shows, but this one proved that the genre can be a success if done right. With an appealing cast and twisted story, "The River" creates an awesome show to watch. I think that a lot more could have been done with the show if given the chance.Each episode delivered more mystery and suspense with heart-stopping moments. The characters are also easy to relate to as their stories are developed. I don't remember much about this show except for the fact that it was awesome!If I'm not mistaken, I think the show ended with a scene of the river and the land around it constantly changing so that the travelers could never get out. That was a good cutoff that should have been continued.I wouldn't recommend this for the faint of heart, as it is definitely not for them. If you are a fan of horror or if you just want a good scare, watch "The River"!

jim-28-119263 No wonder this time waster was canned - poor scripting, poor videography, a tenuous story line and un-credible sets add up to one of the worst series I have seen in ages! Furthermore I am totally insulted not just by the blatant "bleeping out" of expletives - but now we see fuzzing out of lips that are mouthing such words! If this is supposed to be an adult drama then treat the audience as such - if its a kids drama then change the script to make it "less dramatic"! I am clearly buying a censored/incomplete version of a product when I do not wish it to be so - therefore I require a discount or to have the packaging labelled "This product is censored to meet the needs of potentially sensitive audiences" A one star thats well deserved!
