kbohna The shadow line probably one of the best written Grandma crime series that you can watch it is the most impressive thing I've ever seen on television and need to see this most serious way. There's just something about this show that will blow your mind it's only a shame that we don't have more television quite like this but I'll tell you one thing if you watch this you will definitely leave a comment stating how much you love this show the show is more than the show but it is a view into what governments will go to. I just hope everyone gets a chance to watch it and it doesn't get lost in all of the other television that is out there their greatest Network that ever existed in my opinion next to Nexflix. When I say Netflix their programming is incredible and it is all definitely based buy big Hollywood production companies so you're not watching some type of show that is just made by a small budget these are actually movie written shows that could be actual movies as if that makes any sense LOL I hope everyone gets a chance to watch it and the text that I'm writing get Steam hopefully lots of times I give this show 10 stars and I know that isn't a number that they give out for TV series or even movies but this show has it all and the actor Chris Rhea is phenomenal along with all the other actors that are in the series it is only a series but yet it feels like the greatest movie you've ever watched like a bomb film on steroids and Back Again please watch but do so at your own apparel because it is that great.

trinidadjosue This series get me really thrilled, the plot is very well done and the production high values is top notch, I will look forward works from this director again,I bumped into this series after watch another masterpiece series Sherlock, so in the first minutes I start watching I know that is going to be a top notch series, I always like crime series and this series is very depht and the performance is brilliant the characters were superb, I was very sticky to the series to the very end, and the ending is unconventional damn good, and I don't know but I didn't want to end the series, because is a great miniseries just 7 episodes but very well directed and as I said the plot is very wit.

David Miller Great to watch but after a while the brooding and completely humourless characters begin to jar. Is there no happiness at all in these people's lives? Even the joy of a confirmed pregnancy has to be tempered by a nagging delay as the nurse checks her scanner and looks worryingly at the screen while her patient looks worryingly at Gabriel. It's as though the director has deliberately checked every scene to ensure maximum gravitas from his characters as they go about their admittedly fascinating lives. I just wish it had the kiss of reality that The Sopranos brought to the small screen. Shadow Line bears some comparison with Tinker Tailor in terms if its unremitting gloom but none of its characters feel like their gloom has been earned through years of unremitting grind and conflict. I enjoyed it for what it is but in the end, I found it less than it was hyped up to be.

kjg28 I was recommended this series by a friend. I find it visually uninteresting, the writing is poor, the small details (locking care doors, smoking in an office inside a police station - not for years! - car chases around London that don't make sense if you actually know east London at all ) and the acting is a let down. There are a few glimmers of hope, and I will persevere (well I've bought it on iTunes as I live outside the UK - So frankly I've paid for it now!)It appears to have been done on a low budget and reminds me of the 'spoofs' that you see on the impressions show. Such a shame - I was hoping for another gem like Zen, oh well!
