atomius When considering that this is 1- a kid's show, and 2- on commercial television in a single nation, it's obvious that there will not be a huge boost of quality, however, when comparing this to other kid's 'afternoon shows' like the Big Arvo and Hot Source, we must consider these added variables in our overall result. The show is 'set' in a shak, a metal shed building, and the four exxagerated hosts (each with a different stereotypically mega-overdone character in their own field) receive requests, questions etc. from viewers. Each 'Shakster' applies him or herself to each task or question, ranging from foolish (remembering again this is for children) dares to more intelligent questions about things like electricity, nature, the way devices and systems operate etc. Some segments are quite informative like those on how billboards are made or how street markings created with thermosetting plastics, and at the end of the show the Shaksters give prizes randomly to 'Shak Member' children. Overall it deserves to keep it's timeslot on Nine, and perhaps other countries could make their own versions. It would be nice to see more 'How do traffic lights work?' and less 'Ride the Super Mega Wave of doom' requests though.
