A different way of telling a story

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

Sylvester Cat, Tweety Bird, and Hector the Bulldog are the pets of Granny, a gingerly matron with a penchant for solving mysteries. Granny is a Jessica Fletcher-like traveling detective who investigates disappearing objects and bizarre events at the four corners of the globe, while Sylvester constantly tries to grab and eat Tweety and is stopped by ever dutiful Hector, appointed Tweety's guardian by Granny. Although maybe it wasn't the best of that time "The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries" (1995) is still a show that i respect and find funny to this day i mean i'm sure everyone laughed each time Sylvester tried to catch and eat Tweety and he got beaten up by Hector each time that was just pure gold.

Sure the show has its predictable moments, but it is above decent and I think underrated as well. The theme song is catchy and memorable, and the incidental music is hummable. The animation is colourful and overall nice to look at, and the scripts are funny and well done. The episode ideas are very interesting, and while there have been one or two predictabilities, are quite original as well. The characters are still their likable selves, and it was really nice to see Granny having a bigger part to play. Tweety, one of my favourite Looney Tunes characters, is simply adorable, and Sylvester is pretty much exactly as I remember him from the old Looney Tunes cartoons, that I still adore to this day. June Foray and Joe Alaskey among others do a great job voicing the characters. All in all, a good show, shame it didn't last longer. 8/10 Bethany Cox

I remember watching "The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries" Saturday mornings on Kids WB. I loved both Sylvester and Tweety. Tweety was just plain adorable. Sylvester was cute and plus I have a cat who looks like him. Hector was also pretty cool. I also liked the theme song of this show. I remember looking forward for this show every Saturday. My favorite episodes were: "A Chip Off the Old Castle", "It Happened One Night Before Christmas", and "It's a Plaid, Plaid, Plaid, Plaid World". I couldn't wait to see Granny solve the mysteries.Overall I miss this show and wish it was still on the air. I give this show 9/10 stars.
