Synopsis

Titus is an American dark comedy sitcom that debuted on Fox in 2000. The series was created by its star, Christopher Titus, Jack Kenny, and Brian Hargrove. This sitcom was based on Christopher's stand-up comedy act, more specifically his one-man show Norman Rockwell is Bleeding, which was based loosely upon his real-life family; lines from Norman Rockwell is Bleeding were spoken by Titus as commentary. Titus plays an outwardly childish adult, who owns a custom car shop. The show follows him and his dimwitted halfbrother Dave, his girlfriend Erin with the "heart of gold", his goody-goody friend Tommy, and his arrogantly lewd, bigoted and multiple-divorced father Ken "Papa" Titus.

Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!

Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
SanteeFats This series was my first exposure to Christopher Titus. I love the show but was a little saddened too. It is based on his real life family experiences from a very dysfunctional family Mom was a nut case, dad appears to be a drunken hard case. Stacy Keach does a great job playing the dad. Titus and his brother are very funny and seem to actually have a really good on set rapport between them. Cynthia Watros plays Christopher's girl friend and brings a little sexuality and a lot of balance to the show. While I know there are families that are like the one portrayed here it is sad to learn that some one had to grow up this way. Overall though this is a very funny series and I highly recommend it.
Ed B This show made me laugh 'till I was blue in the face, I was extremely upset when it was canceled, and I hope someday it may be available on DVD. I would pay top dollar for that. Unfortunately, I guess not enough people who get Nielson ratings agreed with me. Although, to be fair, I didn't know many people who watched it regularly.Even though the characters might have been poorly developed, and the writing was not of a higher level of quality or subject matter, it was hardly devoid of humor, although it was crude and juvenile at times. However, one would be hard-pressed to find a show made in the last 10 years that was not plagued by such an affliction.
Sue I guess the earlier comments were right. They must have run out of material. Poor writers? Could be..I did not think much of Caroline in the City and I never heard of Holding the Baby. The show is not on TV any more. I too thought it was funny and liked Chris Titus very much. The cast combination worked well and Stacy Keach was a hoot.Perhaps the time slot did not work well for them. It is a loss.
rescue-1 This show is stupid the comedy doesn't make sense and titus' jokes are always the same they always seem to be about his mom in a mental hospital or his dad and his five wife's well who cares about that and the dad thinks he's a regular Al Bundy but he's not in my opinion it's one thing to be funny but the comedy has to make sense I won't waste my time watching titus again but judge for yourself
