Synopsis

Kagami Junichirou was known as a physics genius when he was a teenager, and he was even published in "Nature." However, after college, he suddenly lost all interest in science. As a NEET, he's devoted himself to his anime blog and nerdy collecting habits. He claims he has a serious illness called "I can't do anything I don't want to do." Desperate to get him to do something with his life, his little sister manages to get him a job teaching physics at his old high school. He's certainly an unconventional teacher, but he becomes fairly popular with the students. After helping a girl who's being ruthlessly bullied, Kagami finds that he actually likes teaching. Will he continue his career as a weird teacher? Will he go back into physics? Or will he end up back where he started?

Reviews

Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
Libramedi Intense, gripping, stylish and poignant
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Cassandra Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
okagetadaka I love this show as the stories are enjoyable and the voice talent is great and it always makes me happy hearing voices from other shows I watch/watched. It can be a little awkward at first but after a couple episodes it picks up it's pace and finds it's groove.
Daniel Hayes A teacher (Kagami Junichirou) renown for his intelligence is forced to get a job as a physics teacher. It has a similar feel to GTO as in he doesn't care much about actually teaching students academically, but I feel that the whole otaku concept helping in life lessons gets old fast (and the whole YD thing). Plus, stereo types everywhere, if you haven't watched GTO, you should because it is very similar but much deeper, it seems that the characters in Ultimate Otaku Teacher, are very stereo-typical and very silly to the point where you cant take the series seriously, which is fine but it doesn't transition well into the more serious bits were you're not sure if he talking sense, well I may be being harsh but I feel its aimed at similar audiences who loved GTO, and for me it falls short but in no sense is this a disaster of an anime its just that my expectation were set high! (I was deciding between a 6 and 7 keep that in mind)
