SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?

Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

This show really delivers the goods. If everyone in it acted at a mediocre standard, Julia's absolute ease and confidence with her character would have rescued it I think, but, as is often when you put a bunch or artists together and something just clicks, whether it be a band or a cast, everybody here sizzles in their roles. (Personally I believe it is a light-hearted spirit that creates that magic, which might even be more realistic in a wacky comedy, though I'm just guessing.)The writing too, the dialogue, the timing. I've become hard to please over the years, but this show nails it.I'm not always crazy about Julia's character. It goes a tad too far past the edge for me sometimes. Maybe I'm slightly out of the intended demographic, but there's no arguing the creative gem here.

OMG! Finally a comedy worth spending time on. Though its too expletive, but who are we kidding, these expletives make it even more funny. President Meyer, Ms Amy, Dan, Gary, Jonah, Ben, Sue, Mike, Kent, you all take a bow for your supreme comic timing and hilarious dialogue delivery. The writers do write the lines, but you guys have taken it to another level all together. In these times when sitcoms were getting boring by the day, VEEP provides a fresh whiff of cool breeze. I just hope you guys never get dull like the rest of the sitcoms and keep rocking forever. I know that the President can serve only 2 terms, I wish you guys come up with something to keep it alive.

I have tried to watch this show. When I hated it in series, I tried to watch some random episodes in different seasons. Nothing helps, it just make me feel disgusted, offended or irritates every moment I spend watching this. It is horrible. I cannot imagine people thinking of, writing, and acting this show ... it is one of the most horrible things on TV I have ever seen ... and that means actively horrible. The character are all insulting each other all the time. I suppose that lots of the people who gave this a high rating watch it to learn how to insult people ... so for that it might be good.Seriously, the only word for this awful bit of nauseating entertainment is "putrid". "Veep" is horrible, and I really like Julia Louis-Dreyfus.I want to know who likes this show, or what their demographic is, just so I can avoid whoever or whatever they are.

HBO continues its assault on "paint by numbers" television with arguably one of the funniest and most entertaining half-hour comedies created to date. It is no wonder that the channel continues to dominate the Emmys every year with nominations and wins (of which, Veep has 26 and 4 respectively in a mere 38 episodes).A premise developed originally for ABC about Washington-insiders, the show follows begrudging VP Selina Meyer (Julia-Louis Dreyfus) after her failed primary run. It plays off of her quick-witted, yet misfit staff and exposes the seedy, backstabbing nature of Washington politics. While the show is occasionally dark, it is never bleak and routinely comes to life with heartfelt moments and unforgettable one-liners.The true brilliance of the show is the snappy writing, a foul-mouthed Sorkin homage, provided by an SWG-Award winning team (2013) headed Armando Iannucci. My only fear for this show is that as it continues to garner praise and awards, the cast's popularity will grow, and like most great shows (Arrested Development), production will become more difficult due to scheduling conflicts. Until that day comes Veep still stands alone as the funniest show on television and must watch TV. And I'm not just "busting your f**king lady-balls."
