This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

And here's another example of Fox retiring and awesome series way before it's time. I liked everything about this show. And there's was so many directions they could of taken the story further. Just how high do ratings have to be to keep a show going these days? I guess show it in the pile with all the others. Helix, Defying Gravity, Terra Nova, The Event, Threshold, Jericho, Caprica, SG-U, Fire-Fly, V, The River, The Tomorrow People.........

I'm 5 episodes in and that's enough. I've seen lots of movies and TV series with plot holes but this one takes the biscuit, the thing is as well not much is happening in each episode. The teacher reveals the secret to some kids in episode 5 and Matt Dillon get's outside the town's limits.I don't know if there's going to be a twist but i don't care. Can't handle anymore of this nonsense.
Happy viewing

I can not say I'm thrilled, but I liked first season very very much. They say that second season is crap, but that's not too important because first season is rounded entirety and it does not require any continuation. If season finale was meant to be cliffhanger that creators of this show really have no idea how cliffhanger should look like. Anyway, warm recommendation, especially to fans of mystery and post-apocalyptic movies.8/10

(I gave the first season a six -- though partly because I am in love with Carla Gugino and would go live where she is had it not got vetoed by the wife and kids -- and the second season got a 0 since I couldn't get through the first episode.)I liked the premise very much, it should have great potential, if you're just looking for some easy entertainment and don't sit there counting every last bullet everybody fires. It clearly isn't the type of thing that can be drawn out endlessly though, as I think they tried to do here. The first season was enjoyable a lot of the time, albeit I repeated too often: why would you say that? why don't you explain yourself? why don't you go there? why would you conclude that? how do you not see that flaw in that???The second season is nothing but a violation of rationale from the outset, so you don't even bother asking the questions.Years ago I probably would never have watched something this south of a decent standard and I can't tell if it is because I am of an older generation or if its our options that have diminished.Truth is I think I am becoming more and more cynical of Hollywood productions in general. I don't believe it's their artists (actors, writers, etc.) who lack talent or intelligence, but there is something horrible that comes through in most shows eventually.
