Truly Dreadful Film

Boring, over-political, tech fuzed mess

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

This is definitely more of a "lads" show than for the ladies. It's a great "4-mates have a good time" show based around the fact they all play in a cover band together. It's a bit stereotypical in it's treatment of the women, although the 2 event organizers have strong roles, but it's really about the scrapes the guys get into and how deep-down they're good friends and try to do "the right thing". It's a feel-good series for men of a certain age (they're not young and not trying to be). There is some pathos about following your dreams and following convention, but ultimately it has a good heart and is funny in all the right places. Not always believable, but then what TV ever is. It's pure entertainment, light-hearted humour; usually directed inwards at the band themselves, and just a joyful series to watch.

At first glance Wedding Band seems to have it it all. The concept is great, you even get a few laughs and the cover songs of the band are quite entertaining. But something is missing. The completion of the characters fall short. While others work, most do not. Brian Austin Green in surprisingly good at comedy, but he lacks the proper sarcastic presence required for his leading perma-bachelor character. The biggest shortcoming however is comedic timing and delivery. Great jokes are wasted in every other line. The 40 minute running length of each episode seems to be too long for this kind of comedy. Squeeze is down to a fast 25 minutes, hone your timing and you've got a proper show. The series creators Lobis and Moiselle are still at the beginning of their careers and have yet to find their rhythm. Considering their inexperience this show is more of a hit than a miss.

OK, bare with me, because a) this is my first review here, and b) I'm not a native English speaker. We (my wife and I) have seen 5 episodes so far, and the thing that stands out for me is that the stories are fun, lighthearted and for people who played in a cover band at times very recognizable. The lead singer who tries to pull all the girls, the goof-ball (in this case the drummer), the new guy (bass-player) and the guy who tries to keep the things in order (remarkebly the lead guitarist). Also the way the new guy gets initiated and taken into the band is funny and very true.A hats off for the people who choose the music in the episodes; very cool songs, and very cool covers. And for the people who don't like BAG; just try it, you won't be disappointed.

I Like the whole idea of the show. I was looking forward to its start but I almost felt awkward and uncomfortable watching the women in this show. The guys were fine and believable and the show is probably predominately written by men which explains the way the show plays out the way it does and I get that but if you want the show to appeal to both... The women were so fake and kind of stiff and uncomfortable, the general idea of the women has potential but it is not really believable. Unfortunately it ruined the whole show for me. I really wanted to like this show I will check out the next episode to see if this can be resolved. Really people it has the potential and I am sure real people have had many funny experiences concerning this.
